X-raying the Many Heights of

Jesus' High Priestly Ministrations

1. In this season, what we are addressing are things about the Son of God. The revelation of the Son of God comprises many things; these many things are what Paul called all things of God (2 Cor. 5:18). All things of God are what the Son is declaring. The Son is declaring all things of the only True God. These are not things that we can exhaust in times; even in the world to come, the Lamb will still be ministering.

2. The end of the age is upon the emergence of a kind of people – firstfruit company. When these ones emerge, they open up  another vista of economy. Incorruptibility would not open us to a place where we think we have finished our race. John 17:4-5 – We are being opened into another good work, which will be worked to perfection. Jesus only finished a lap of the work (here on earth) and resumed another ministry in the Heavens (Heb. 8:2). We do not retreat to rest; rather, we should rest in our work (Gen. 2:2).

3. The high priest is not a new terminology; there have been many high priests and many priests (Heb. 7:23). For there to be high priests, it means they have height. There must be a high Being to occupy the position of the High Priest of the Majesty on High. There have been many high priests – Aaron was a high priest, and so was Zadok. There were also other priests in the scriptures. Jethro; Moses' father in-law was also a priest (Exo. 3:1, 18:1-2). Hence, the issue of raising a priest and high priest is not a small matter.

4. Nobody can deny that Job was a priest (Job 42:8). The book of Job may not have been placed in the right place in the scriptures chronologically,  but Job must have lived in the time of Genesis. He had things within himself. The priests in the Old Testament were high in their own allocations, and there are things they ministered which were shadows of true things to come. It was not only the Levitical priesthood that was a shadow and type; even the era of Genesis which was the era of  former things or old things. These former things were a shadow of what the Lord came into in the New Testament. Isa. 48:3 – The beginning things are called the former things. This explains why the High Priestly ministry of Jesus was not compared with the Priesthood of Levi; His order was compared with the Priesthood of the beginning, even of the former which is the Melchizedek priesthood. Hence, the Aaronic priesthood was an intervention because sin brought man so low, but we need to be connected back to the beginning; this beginning is everlasting. For a priesthood to be everlasting, it must have capacity for abiding; there must be strength in that priesthood and such was the Mechizedek priesthood in whose order Jesus’s Priesthood was premised.

5. Mal. 2:6-7 – Every priest custodies knowledge and doctrine – the law and the lines. It is the covenant and the testimony. Ps. 132:12 – God  has obtained a New Testament Priest who is the messenger, the mediator who officiates in the teaching of the covenant and the testimony, that is why Jesus Christ is ministering, He was ordained a Minister and Priest of the New Testament to teach the covenant and testimony to the children. Jesus has destroyed Him who has the power of death in Himself; but He had to fulfill it in the life of all the children (Heb. 2:14). There is a two-fold ministry: to destroy the power of death and then to deliver men from the fear of death. Just as David taught his children, God has obliged the Son to teach His children (Isa. 8:18). If we will be children of the promise, we must be taught. Why the High Priest of the Majesty on High is ministering is to teach us so that we can sit. We must therefore obey and observe the things He is teaching so that we can sit.

6. The High Priest of the Majesty on High is a High Priest who is connected to the beginning. The priesthood of Levi could not connect men to the beginning; they could only maintain men; but this maintenance was necessary – if not, the prophecy from Daniel concerning the Messiah, would not have come to pass (Dan. 12:1). Without the Aaronic ministry, there would not have been Mary and Joseph (Matt. 1:18-19). God used this testament and priesthood to preserve conscience. It could not address nature, but it could preserve conscience. It could not take away the conscience of sin, but it could preserve the conscience from collapsing and becoming irreconcilable. The Levitical priesthood could not connect man back to the beginning – the everlasting order (Isa. 48:3) but the Priesthood that Jesus is officiating is to bring us back to the original intention of God. The High Priest of the Majesty on High is to restore men to the beginning.

7. Ps. 90:2 – There are two everlastings: there is the everlasting in the beginning before the Earth and mountains were brought forth, and there is the everlasting after those things were brought forth. This is to show us how high this High Priest is. Other high priests were high, but this High Priest went to where the others never passed into. The foundation of the Eternal is not the everlasting of the former Heavens, it is not a created dimension, but it is an expression and a spread – this is where God fills all things. God is elastic – God can stretch and He can contract. That is the kind of nature God wants to teach us when He says we should suffer long and endure – in that, we are being taught the nature of God. To be taught all long-suffering is to be taught the nature of the elasticity of God. That is the character and property of godliness and divine nature.

8. Heaven has high places, so also the Earth (Mic. 1:3). Eph. 6:12 – These high places are the high places of the Earth and not the high places of the Heavens – God had cast Satan out of the high places of the Heavens. There are high places of the Heavens, but the high places of the Earth are where the sons of God were operating from. Satan arranged souls in the high places of the Earth; but nevertheless, we cannot really take the high places of the Earth unless we are meek (Matt. 5:5). The high places of the Earth are occupied by men who have been raised, having stamina of strength. We cannot occupy high places without having laws and embodying them, even laws of light. Jesus is ministering in Heaven itself, and can use the Heavens and Earth. Even when Jesus starts ministering, He cannot minister in the lowest places of the Earth. Where He prepares His table are in the presence of His enemies, and He knows these enemies occupy the high places of the Earth.

9. Ps. 110:1-2 – This is important in this season; there will not be a rod of His strength however without His high ministry. There is no way that men will arise into this height without Him coming. There was a time in the Old Testament when the Lord wanted to meet with the Israelite on the mount; they could not take it and so the elders had to mount up to the mount (Exo. 24:9). The elders were different from the people because of more judgment that they have attained. The more judgment a man possesses, the  more the man can come to the high places of the Earth. It takes laws to inform our judgment. Our love should not be in knowledge alone but also in all judgment (Phil. 1:9-10).

10. Heb. 8:1-2 – He is set on the right hand of the Throne, but He has come down further as a minister of the Sanctuary and of the True tabernacle. He is at the right hand; this right hand means He is God’s right hand man – His go-to Person. There is no need for protocols, a right hand man has limitless access. That is who Jesus is to God – He has unlimited access to the Majesty. He has unrestrained rights and privileges with Him.

11. Isa. 55:9 – What separates Heaven from the Earth is height. It is not only the Earth that has high places; the Heavens also have high places. The Son of God does not minister in lowly places; that is what makes Him the Majesty. The Heavens are expandable – if we can fold it, we can understand it. God has the capacity to open and fold the Heavens. God designed the Earth in a way that it can be replenished (Gen. 1:28). The High Priest is in a position, which is a state and an estate. At every state in the height, we have a better view for sight. The High Priest of the Majesty on High has a height above the Heavens. He is set, that is, Heaven is not His primary place. The Lord has prepared His Throne in the Heavens,  His Throne is in the height of Heavens. He is not just called an High Priest for man’s sake but this is because of the laws that are in Him - that placed Him there. Heb. 8:1 – Why He set His throne in the Heavens is because Heavenly beings are supposed to minister things that the Son of God is doing in the last days.

12. Heb. 1:14 – Angels have done great things in the past – among the children of Israel in the wilderness. These angels have not yet entered their best season of their ministry until Jesus died and resurrected and went to the right hand of the Throne of the Majesty on High. These angels began to enter into the best season of their ministry under the Holy Ghost, who is the promise of the Father after Jesus has ascended on High (1 Pet. 1:12). Angels have only served in the order of the shadow but now they are serving in the core ministry because Jesus Christ ascended and filled all things (Eph. 4:9-10).

13. The Heavenly places Jesus purged are not the Heavenly places that should come (Heb. 9:21-23). The Heavenly places that were purged are the present Heavenly places because there is need for them to be upgraded which is meant to serve the present day ministry of Jesus. Heb 1:10, Isa. 66:1-2 – When Jesus Christ ascended to Heaven, He purged every essence of the former Heavenly places with better sacrifices; He also purged all the vessels of ministry. The Son purged the Heavens to serve the course of the Majesty, even of salvation - to serve the giving of the things of God. When we get to the height of Heaven, we will find His Throne ministering there. But all those things are fountains from the right hand of the Majesty on High. A place where ministrations are carried out. This ministry is to take away all things that are old (2 Cor. 5:17). Beyond ministering in the sanctuary, His ministry extends into the Most Holy. He purged the holiest and used it as a place for ministering and serving. There are Heavens and there is Heaven itself. Jesus purged Heavenly things and Heavenly places; but there is Heaven itself that Jesus wears as a garment and uses to minister.

14. Eph. 5:8 – When we walk in Christ and obey the law of faith unto charity we become light. John the Baptist was a burning and a shining light (John 5:35). What is being measured was not being born again but the quality of the soul. We ought to walk in the light. 1 Thess. 5:4-5 – To be children of light means you must  have finished the process of the remission of your sins, that is carnal nature has been treated from our lives. Children of light are spiritual souls; souls that have been transformed by the renewal of their mind through obedience to the righteousness of faith (Rom. 12:2). Milk cannot produce children of light. Milk which is called the first principles of the doctrine of Christ cannot produce children of light but children. These children are still in darkness because they do not have eyes and light has not been given to them.

15. Eph. 5:14 – We cannot be children of light without Christ giving us light. It is the doctrine of Christ that gives us light. When we are walking as light we are running a race. Some christians have fruit but they do not have light because when children of darkness come, their little light will revert back, it will not be able to sustain itself. It is a fruit that is born by light that can sustain. Light is lines, walking in light is walking in the lines of the light. Understanding of light is that we are walking in a law and what that law does is that it sets us free.

16. There is a seal of faith and love which is the summary of loving all the brethren fervently. We receive the seal of the Holy Ghost when we love all the saints (Eph. 1:15-16).

17. All principalities and powers are kings under rulers; rulers are princes of the darkness of this world. What they are driving is that men will keep fellowshipping with the darkness of this world. Darkness is not something black; it is light and it is an understanding (Matt. 6:22-23, Eph. 4:18). The answer to darkness is the law and the testimony. There are operations of darkness in us that they will deal with through the doctrine of Christ; the doctrine of peace (Isa. 9:1-2). What we call darkness are corrupted wisdom of fallen principalities and powers. Those corrupted wisdom are laws. Acts 26:18 – Before we can be children of light, we must have been turned from darkness to light. A man is weighed by his understanding because his understanding determines the way he lives his life. Without understanding, a man cannot walk – there will be no grace. Understanding gives grace to be able to appropriate and fulfill the laws of God unto obtaining testimonies. Darkness is the operation of the kings of this world or the wisdom of this world.

18. Righteousness is also a light. Righteousness of faith is also a light, it is a faith that converts our soul when the Holy Ghost subjects us to it. Why a lot of people draw back is because when light comes they do not have faith to connect with it, and it does not make much sense to them. For us to be fully separated, light must ransack our mind fully. If our mind cannot become humble, light cannot flow through. Our minds must only be led – it must trust and follow the Lord per-time. If the mind does not submit, there will not be penetration into the heart, there will be no further work on our heart.

19. John 14:2-3 – To be where Jesus is, is a big honor and it is a ministration from heights because where He is, is where His Father is. God is better than Heaven and Jesus who is also ministering is already made better than the Heavens (Heb. 7:26). Jesus was made higher by buildings and He is a prototype of building others. No matter where we are now there is hope for us. It takes these kinds of majestic things to overcome death. It takes ministry from that height to re-code spirit, soul and body. When Jesus went to Heaven, He did not just go with His soul, He went with His spirit, soul and body. His body passed through the Heavens – this is the promise of God for us (Phil. 3:21). Our body would also be fashioned like unto His glorious body.

20. It takes this kind of ministration to knock out sin. Light will shake our heavens so that they can begin to configure us up. When we are under this kind of ministrations, the things of this world will start becoming small and certain ambitions begin to wane.
