(Day 4 – Morning Session)
Unveiling the Everlasting and
the Eternal Promises of God
Pastor Tosin Gabriel
1. The Gentiles did not occupy the apostolic office needed to relay the foundation the early apostles laid. Presently, the foundation we see is the evangelical foundation rather than the apostolic. We are taught that we have been saved to serve. But in reality, we are saved to be saved (Acts 2:47).
2. It is discipleship for salvation; we do not know service until we have grown. Real service is attached to spiritual growth. Most times, we see that a man who gets born again today starts ministering almost immediately; such people cannot last, they need discipleship.
3. Part of our evangelical nature is the mindset that we have obtained the salvation of our souls at new birth; little do we know that the only thing that got saved was our spirits. The salvation of our soul is at the end of the faith.
4. The mindset of Jesus coming to take us home is premised on an evangelistic mindset. The real meaning of this home is not what we think. Most people always reckoned this to going home to the Father and resting. Jesus is really taking us Home, but this Home is a Person. He said He is taking us to His Father (John 14:3).
5. There is where He is going and there is the way. The way is a Person, where He is also going is a Person. Where we are going is actually a Person – the Father is the Home (Jesus is taking us to). However, what we see as the home is Heaven, we do not see the Father as the Home. Heaven is not the Home; the Home is a Person. The Home is wherever the Father is; to get to the Father, Jesus has to minister to us. Nobody can come to the Father by himself (John 14:6).
6. Jesus was speaking of the requisite building before we can get to the Father in John 14:6 – the way, the truth, and the life must be given to us. We do not get to the Father immediately we get born again; the Father is Spirit while our souls are carnal – they cannot communicate.
7. The High Priest is presently ministering; He is not just sitting redundant at the right hand of God and just making promises that He will return at a particular time. Many times, we look forward to the physical appearing of Jesus. We seek that Jesus will come to take us away from our economic problems, but that is not how things work.
8. When Jesus resurrected from the dead, He went to Heaven to purge the Heavens. Sin started from Heaven (Ezek. 28:14-16). The person who first sinned was in Heaven. At that time, there was no man on Earth; it means iniquity existed before man was made.
9. He purged our sins when He went up, and not on the cross. The reason a High Priest enters the Most Holy place once a year is to make atonement for the sins of the people. In the period of making reconciliation for the sins of the people in the economy of the Old Testament, the high priests always come with three animals: two goats and one ram (Levi. 16:5-6).
10. One of the animals to be offered is a bullock; this animal depicts self-will. Goats are stubborn, but bulls are more self-willed. Hence, before Jesus made an offering for sin, He offered Himself – He offered His will. This was His sacrifice for Himself (Matt. 26:42-44).
11. The High Priest will appear before God on behalf of the people to purge out their sins (Lev. 16:27). Sin must be purged from the source before remission of sin can be effective. When Jesus went to Heaven, it took priestly sight to know that He went to purge our sins; He went to the origin where sin began. He appeared before God on our behalf to carry out atonement. Jesus became the three animals for sacrifice in the Old Testament. He purged our sins in the Most Holy Place in Heaven because the person who first sinned was a Most Holy Place being - a Cherubim (Ezek. 28:14-15).
12. Satan sinned in Presence. Sin was dropped in Presence so it had to take a man to go to Presence to purge it away. Jesus did not just die and resurrect, He also went to Heaven to purge the source of sin and because He went to purge the source of sin, sin is already weak. Since He has done this, sin does not have roots again. The sin we sin now is already weak but men do not see it so, this is the reason why it is not right for a believer to say that it is impossible to be sinless; if we believe this, then we mean that what Jesus has done is in vain.
13. The copies of the Tabernacle Moses built on Earth were purged with blood of goats but the original ones were purged by a better sacrifice. Jesus purged the outer court in Heaven, He purged the Holy Place in Heaven and He purged the Most Holy Place in Heaven – Jesus purged them so He could use them.
14. Before Jesus Christ resurrected and purged the Holy Place and Most Holy Place, they were ministering death (2 Cor. 3:7). They could not minister anything righteous. Jesus purged the Heavens so that righteousness and grace can flow from where condemnation flowed; where condemnations reigned, grace will also reign (Rom. 8:1).
15. Grace is not lasciviousness, being lascivious is exhibiting ignorance, when we know the price Jesus paid, we will hate sin. Anyone who loves sin hates Jesus. It is possible to commit sin because we are not yet perfect but to love sin and make sin a life and to be proud of it then we are haters of Jesus and His Father.
16. The entities ministering in the Most Holy Place are excellent ministers; they are cherubims of Glory. We minister to God according to our level. Seraphims worship by saying Holy, Holy, Lord of Hosts. They are beings of the Holy Place. Seraphim are His hosts – they are His ministers who do His pleasures (Isa. 6:3). He is the Lord of hosts because they are hosts. The order of worship of Cherubims is different from the Seraphims; their worship is an excellent worship. Cherubims minister according to their building; they minister by saying ‘Holy Holy Lord God Almighty’ (Rev. 4:8). Cherubims are all mighty, they are not just strong, they excel in strength (Ps. 103:20).
17. There is only one Person that cannot die nor change and that is God Himself. What makes Him majestic are the properties He has in Him. Majestic properties are things that make Him abide and remain forever. Majestic is attached to dominion. God’s constituency are properties of dominion – He has laws of dominion inside. There is nothing that we can do to God that can change Him; God cannot be tempted because He has laws in Himself, He has rest within. No matter what happens God does not lose His peace – He is reigning. God has laws of dominion reigning inside of Him.
18. You cannot embarrass God. Satan has been trying to provoke God and he has seen that God is always at peace and never loses His joy. It is a dominion when we do not lose our joy or are always at peace. There are dominions inside of God - He cannot lose righteousness or holiness, those are the fabrics of His Person.
19. God cannot lose His essence. Joy is God's essence, peace, righteousness, and holiness are His essence. God's essence is always intact. We can have joy and lose it; losing things means that there are things not yet whole within us. When we lose the things of God that He gives us it means that we are not yet saved; a saved person does not lose things of God, they are always intact within.
20. The Everlasting King is the Majesty on High as the Everlasting God. The Everlasting King is the Living and the True God. We have to see the Majesty first before we can enter: there are three layers to the Kingdom of God, and we have to see first. The new birth does not mean that we have seen.
21. The Majesty on High as eternal is Immortal, He is Invisible, the Only Wise God, while the Everlasting King is called the Divine God. There is the Divine God and there is the Eternal God. Divine nature is to come to an estate of salvation where you can never spoil – where you become incorruptible, undefiled, and unfading. These things are divine properties.
22. God promised Eternal Life before the world began, that is before He created Heaven and Earth. Then He promised Everlasting Life when He created Heaven and Earth. There is a life in time, and there is a life outside of time. Eternal Life is a timeless life, while Everlasting life is subject to time even though it will be unchanging.
23. Eternal Life is ‘I Am’ life. When God promised Everlasting Life, He involved His Son in it. John 3:16 – Perish means that time is involved. So we need a life to overcome perishing and that is Everlasting life, Everlasting life is salvation, we need to understand salvation right. New birth salvation is an introduction to the program. The new birth is an introduction to Salvation. We are given a token of salvation to be fully saved; to be saved is that we are incorruptible, undefiled, and unfading. If we say that our souls are saved and we cannot keep joy, or peace for one year then we are not yet saved. If we still have worry, fear of anxiety, fear of death, our soul is not yet saved. A saved soul is as majestic as the Father, that is, the Father’s soul is the same as our soul.
24. God has a soul. God is Spirit and He has a soul. To say that our soul is saved means that the type of soul we have is the same as God’s soul and to have such is why the High Priest is involved. We must have God’s soul. The only Person who presently has God’s soul is our Lord Jesus Christ and that is why He is raised as our High Priest to minister majestic things.
25. God cannot call us perfect if we are not sinless. Who God calls first as perfect is one who is sinless before His eyes (Heb. 4:13). Our tendencies are sins before God. What manifests sin are occasions but before it happens, God already sees them and these tendencies are sins.
26. A perfect man does not have tendencies; a man's tendency to be jealous occurs because there is an occasion for it. A man with a tendency is still imperfect before God while a perfect man is a man without any tendency, he is a sinless man. God cannot sin - He does not run away from sin, sin runs away from God. God cannot be tempted.
27. The only way we can escape perishing is to run to the Son of God and receive His ministry, but we must love the salvation message. Salvation is Divine nature: changing us from our humanity to divinity. God cannot give any man Eternal life if he has not been tested, that is to see that the man does not fade away nor can be defiled nor is corruptible. Everlasting life is what will be used to collect the higher life called Eternal Life.
28. The only person who cannot run away from the face of God is the man who has His life, such a man is acquainted with it. What was used to overcome the dragon is Everlasting Life. When the properties of Everlasting Life are being built inside of us, we will overcome things.
29. Salvation is an overcoming light; we will be taught how to overcome things, natures, and the dragon. When God puts things under our feet, it is to reign everlastingly. God is taking us to a place where we cannot depart; where we become perpetual in His presence. Death is departure, but we will become established in God’s presence where we go no more out.
