The Appearing: December Edition

Pastor Tosin Gabriel

God is injecting the burden for the season upon us that will move us to the New Year and beyond.

Revelation 1:1

“The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John…”

What was signified by the angel was an ‘it’; this shows that this singular thing has many things inside. The ‘it’ is the revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to Jesus; and this revelation contains things that must shortly come to pass. God gave to Jesus the revelation of Jesus.

We are in the appearing, but there can be no appearing without revelation; Jesus must appear for us to be able to see Him.

The word ‘revelation’ means unveiling; it means there is a veil. To God, there is nothing veiled; but to us, something is behind the veil that must be opened. What occurs when the veil is opened is a revelation, and what God opens is our mind.

Jesus walked with two of His disciples, yet their eyes were not opened until He broke the bread (Luke 24:30-31). Revelation means an opening: there cannot be the revelation of the Son of God without an opening.

Ephesians 1:18

“The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints…”

Eyes being enlightened means the opening of things. Veils are on our eyes, even on our minds and hearts.

2 Corinthians 3:15

“But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.”

2 Corinthians 4:3-4

“But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”

The veil is blindness; veils blind the mind.

Revelation 1:1

“The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John…”

What is at stake here is the revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to Jesus to show to ‘servants of God’ and not the ‘servants of Jesus’.

Revelation 7:1-3

“And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree. And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.”

The revelation of Jesus was given by God unto Jesus to show His servants – these servants are servants of God. Part of the burden of this teaching is to know what service is and how to serve God. Those who are entitled to the revelation of Jesus are servants of God, and these servants are not just servants in the fivefold ministry (Eph. 4:11).

Psalm 132:1-5

“A Song of degrees. LORD, remember David, and all his afflictions:  How he sware unto the LORD, and vowed unto the mighty God of Jacob; Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go up into my bed; I will not give sleep to mine eyes, or slumber to mine eyelids, Until I find out a place for the LORD, an habitation for the mighty God of Jacob.”

David did not occupy an actual office, but he is a type of a servant of God; this is the reason God declared to have found a servant after His heart: David looked for a habitation for God (Acts 13:22, Isa. 66:1).

Servants of God are not just five-fold ministers; therefore, you can also be a servant of God. The trouble Satan has caused for the Church is to make men serve God on their own terms; however, to be a servant of God, we must serve God on His own terms.

Romans 12:1

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.”

In serving God, our bodies are involved; the way we prepare our bodies is part of our services. This means that God can reject some people's bodies because bodies contribute immensely to the service of God.

Hebrews 12:28

“Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear…”

God does not accept just any kind of service; He has ordinances and manuals for an acceptable service. The book of Revelations is for servants of God; it takes only servants of God to decode this book. Many have attempted to demystify the book, but God in His mercy knows that it was all done in ignorance (Heb. 5:2).

The revelation of Jesus is only given to servants of God to know things that must shortly come to pass. This means that the book of Revelations will not be fulfilled until there are servants of God on Earth. The book can be closed for ages until there are servants of God.

The book of Revelations is the book of the end that has not yet been fulfilled. It takes servants of God to open every seal mentioned in the book because this book is a book of servants.

The unveiling of the book of Revelation is not firstly about human timing, it depends on the obedience of the servants of God and the calendar of the measurement of Heaven. If there are no servants of God, the book will remain closed.

Daniel 12:8-9

“And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things? And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.”

These things are things that must shortly come to pass in the time of the end, and the time of the end is when the servants of God are raised. The book of Revelations has its own conditions: it requires the emergence of the servants of God for its fulfillment. The end time can never come until servants of God are raised on Earth. The key is for servants of God to be raised.

After the year that Jesus died, resurrected, and went to Heaven, believers would have never thought that the world would run until 2024; however, it did. Nevertheless, since then till now, the end has not come; this shows there are requirements for the end to come.

We are counting the days and years, but we are not doing what will bring the end. I perceive that the burden in the heart of Jesus is that we should be able to look at how to bring the end.

Matthew 24:6-8

“And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.”

If we can catch (understand) the heart of the Lord, we will do well.

It can take many more years before the things mentioned in the Scripture above come to pass. The Earth has seen many hazardous things, yet it still remains – among all these things were world wars, the Spanish flu, and COVID-19, but the end is not dependent on events; it depends on the quality of men that God can get.

Sometimes, we limit the Lord to events; this should not be so because He changes times and seasons. There is nothing that will happen on Earth that it will not survive, but the only thing that Earth will not survive is the raising of servants of God. Issues of the end are neither determined by the events of time nor the calendar of man.

What raises scoffers is that men looked at timing rather than a building; they did not look at what the Lord was really saying.

2 Peter 3:3-6

“Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished…”

Scoffers are not necessarily unbelievers, they are those who waited for things to happen, but nothing eventually did.

Revelation 1:1

“The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John…”

Things which must shortly come to pass are what many have been saying for many years now, yet nothing has come to pass because there are no servants. If there are no servants to show things unto, there is no point for the revelation. Even if those things are available, they will not be administered because servants are not yet raised.

We should not enter 2025 without the decision to become servants. The number of servants must increase on Earth because there is a particular quorum required to fall the dragon (Rev. 12:11). During the time of Apostle John, men overcame but never brought the dragon down.

Witness 1

There will be a large harvest of servants next year.

Nations are not the same as kingdoms; a kingdom is a civilization. There are countries on the Earth that are more than nations; they have civilizations, and they are kingdoms.

Nevertheless, even when everything spoken in the verses above comes to pass, the end cannot still come because they are all events; that is only the beginning of sorrows.

Natural disasters do not connote the end; they are not enough to bring the end. There are ordinances to bring the end. If what happened in the era of Noah did not bring the end, such that although eight souls were saved the Earth still remains, it means that no disaster can bring the end to Earth. All these things are the beginning of sorrows.

Matthew 24:9-10

“Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.”

As these things happen in the world, they will also happen in the Church. This means that there will be offence, betrayal, and hatred in the Church; many shall be offended. To betray is to become a covenant breaker; betrayal will happen even in marriages and relationships (2 Tim. 3:3).

Nonetheless, there is a substance that we will be given to not become victims of what shall come; but if we reject it, then we cannot escape. We cannot pray these things away, they shall happen; it is Jesus that spoke them. All these things are what will be before the end.

Matthew 24:11

“And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.”

The root word for these false prophets is ‘pseudo’, which means ‘cooked but not well done’. ‘False’ prophets are different from ‘fake’ prophets.

Presently, it is difficult to identify false prophets. False prophets are men who have testimony - they know the truth; but it takes true light to reveal a false prophet. False prophets are those who are in the process of building but did not finish their process; they are in the process of a living soul but did not finish (Rev. 13:11). False brethren are false prophets.

Witness 2

In the coming year, we will be knowing (identifying) false prophets.

Matthew 24:12-13

“And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.”

Those who will endure to the end are servants; and what shall be endured is sound doctrine.

2 Timothy 4:3

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears…”

Salvation is inside sound doctrine. The ability to endure sound doctrine, which is the message of the true light, is how to know a false prophet. Sound doctrine (which is an entire doctrine) is to make man to be saved.

2 Timothy 4:4

“And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”

To be a false prophet is a wilful thing. These men know the sound of truth but turn their ears from it; however, those that endure to the end shall be saved.

Sound doctrine is the giving of the truth.

Matthew 24:14

“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”

The end is not just in the preaching of the gospel but also that witnesses of the gospel are raised; thus, until there are witnesses, there is no end. Natural disasters are not part of God's plan, but they will happen because of the disobedience of men.

The spirit of corruption is in the air. In the time of Noah, even after many flesh were killed by the flood, corruption still evolved. It takes witnesses to bring an end to this corruption. It has been long said that the generation on Earth is the generation that will bring the end, but many generations have passed ever since. Satan does not care about generations; the end of the world is not just in languages or zeal – we are dealing with a spirit that has warred with forefathers.

Every appearing has its own uniqueness and manner; and the manner of this month’s appearing is to give the burden of raising servants. If there are many servants of God, the opening of the seals (of the book of Revelations) will be faster.

There can be many attempts to identify which seal we are currently in, but even if we claim to be in a certain seal, considering what each seal is supposed to achieve can make us unsure if we have truly passed through the others.

Revelation 6:12-17

“And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?”

There cannot be a full operation of all the seals now because those who are potential servants will be hurt.

Interpretation of Tongues

“See, see, clear, clear. Sent to see clearly, sent to make you see clearly; sent to stretch your sight. Strength to make you see clearly, to make you see far, to make you see clearly and to make you see far. To make you see farther, farther beyond realms, farther beyond the eyes of men, farther beyond the sightings of men. To make you see farther, to make you see clearer. For this is given unto you as light that shines in the night, that your hope may be made straight, that your hope may be corrected. It is to see, it is for you to see, is for you to see.”

“For I am giving you to see, I am giving you to see what makes for the raising of stars, true stars, even true stars in My own definition of stars. For you see, there have been many definitions of what stars are, what witnesses are; but you see, I am come to give you true definition of what stars should be in My own sight, according to My own judgment, according to My own way of defining, and that which I want to see, that which I want to see emerge on the Earth. True stars, true stars are witnesses. I want to cause you to see, I want to cause you to see clearly, that you may run as you ought to run,” saith the Lord.

Message Continues

Revelation 1:1

“The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John…”

Things cannot shortly come to pass without there being servants; giving these things to servants is what makes them ‘shortly’ come to pass.

Revelation 7:3

“Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.”

The people that will be sealed in their foreheads are servants of God.

Revelation 1:1

“The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John…”

This ‘it’ is the revelation of Jesus and it is a light. The Greek word for ‘revelation’ is ‘apokalupsis’, which is to make things bare, clear, visible or naked. Hence, this ‘it’ is a light of Jesus Christ that is for servants. The light is a sealing light. What God came to do is to seal these servants of our God, but light is needed. The light therefore has things for our sealing.

The teachings today are to correct our perspectives. We have once traced the sign of the end to prophetic numbers and human calendars, but the Lord must shift our minds from how we used to see. There can be no appearing of the Lord Jesus without correction; if the Lord Jesus appears without making corrections, that appearance cannot be said to be real.

Things must be fulfilled.

Revelation 7:2

“And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea…”

This messenger may be the angel of our Lord Jesus or Jesus Himself having the seal of the Living God in His hand. This seal is light, which is the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We need to take this message very seriously for we do not know what the false really is; in fact, any of us can become false. We therefore need to be responsible with our journey.

Romans 6:15

“What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.”

To be under grace is to be under a higher law than sin. Grace is a higher law, it is not a law of carnal commandments (Heb. 7:16). What sets free is law.

Romans 8:2

“For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.”

It is the law of Spirit of life that sets free.

Romans 6:16

“Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?”

Servants of God are those who obey God; they are not just those who preach.

1 Corinthians 9:27

“But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.”

The Apostle Paul subjected himself to a law. What determines servants of God is not age or office; servants are those who subject themselves to the law of God. Whoever a man obeys is whose servant he is: if he obeys flesh, it means he is a servant of flesh – this flesh is the flesh of the devil (and not of Jesus Christ – John 6:55). If a man serves flesh, he is a servant to flesh, which also makes him a servant of Satan (Rom. 6:16). It takes a ‘means’ to serve; men serve Satan through the means of flesh, which Satan instituted. Therefore, if a man serves flesh, he is a servant of Satan.

Galatians 5:16

“This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.”

To walk in the Spirit is to serve God, and we are to apply this service in our daily routines, even when we do not converge for Church meetings. We serve God with our bodies, with our souls, with our imaginations, and with our thoughts. Real service is with our engagement.

Sitting to hear God's word is a measure of service, which is good; but it is only to equip us to go and serve.

Romans 6:17-18

“But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.”

We cannot serve God without doctrine, We need the delivery of doctrine to serve God. Knowledge is simply preparation to serve God, but doctrine comes after knowledge.

Knowledge (precept) is important because it prepares us for the doctrine (which will make us servants); however, while many can endure sound knowledge, not many can endure sound doctrine. Sound doctrine is the demand of knowledge, and this is what will separate false prophets from the true ones.

Romans 6:17-18

“But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.”

To obey from the heart that knowledge which was delivered to us is the vehicle to put the law in our hearts. Law is doctrine, it is more than knowledge – knowledge is precept.

Romans 8:7-8

“Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.”

The carnal mind is in enmity against God not because of knowledge but because of the law. One can have precepts of the doctrine of Christ and still be carnal. Becoming spiritual is when we start obeying.

Galatians 6:2

“Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.”

Doctrine is in receiving the law and obeying it. The law of Christ is not the knowledge of Christ, one can have the knowledge of Christ and not obey it. There is a word that is knowledge, but there is a word that is spirit.

The word as knowledge is very important and needed. In fact, this word as knowledge is sweet in the mouth, but the word as spirit is bitter in the belly (Rev. 10:9-10). Where servants are made is not in knowledge; knowledge prepares servants, but where servants are really made is in the spirit of the message.

Nobody should however disregard the knowledge-part of the message because it is needful and pertinent – precept must be upon precept.

Isaiah 28:9-10

“Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little…”

Most of us have the knowledge of charity, which is needed.

1 Corinthians 13:4-6

“Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth…”

All these are precepts of charity. A man can give food to the poor and not have charity – he can give food to his brethren but not be able to endure them. Real charity is in how we bear while giving. As good as giving is, it goes beyond giving; charity is a state. The precept of charity is needed but the spirit of charity must be attained.

Romans 6:17-18

“But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.”

These servants in the above Scripture are servants of Christ, they are not yet servants of God (who are qualified for the revelation of Jesus Christ). They need to firstly serve Christ and then move up to serve God.

As we approach the New Year, we should examine ourselves to know whose servant we are. Everyone of us is a servant of something. There is nobody on Earth who does not serve something – be it sin or righteousness. If we obey the doctrine of Christ and we use the law, we are servants of Christ.

There is no doctrine without law.

Proverbs 4:2

“For I give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law.”

Inside doctrine, there is law. The presence of knowledge is to bring direction to our journey, but what brings the law is doctrine. No man can be in doctrine and not have law. The presence of this law is what will further generate commandments; the law can be singular, but inside it are many commandments.

Law is a spirit, just as sin is spirit – we cannot be free from sin and death without the law of the spirit of righteousness living in us (Rom. 8:2). We should therefore pray for the spirit of this message; we should be ghosted.

What differentiates a man who has knowledge of Christ from a man engaging the lines of the message of milk is spirit (John 6:63). We need knowledge to be prepared for service, but service itself begins when spirit is in place. If we can start obeying the laws of Christ, we will turn out better than those in the lines of milk. The spirit will achieve a work in us!

If Adam is to be seen by men today, no man would be able to fault him. He has glory and he embodies knowledge. Unlike us, Adam never inherited flesh, and so he would be able to fault many of us when we display the nature of flesh. The only Person that knows that Adam is not complete is the true Son. It takes the true to fault the living; no man can be spiritual and fault the living.

The making of servants involves more than knowledge; servants are made when doctrine (spirit) is given and and it is obeyed from the heart (Rom. 6:16-17).

Hebrews 8:10
