Excerpts

Psalm 2:6-9 - Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.

This Scripture is telling us about the kind of Church God is calling forth upon the earth. A Church that will be able to midwife the Kingdom, one that will be able to fulfill God’s purpose on the earth. Church means the ‘called-out ones’. God has called us apart, and our primary responsibility is to ‘midwife’ His purpose.

God is raising a Church that will be able to administer Divine government. An example is what we see going on in Nigeria. We are beginning to see the castles of iniquity and corruption falling apart, because something has been triggered in the spirit. Heaven is judging the image of the kingdoms of the earth, and we will see them collapse; ancient spirits are being brought to book and judgment.

The season of Kingdom advancement has come upon the earth. Saviors are emerging from Zion. We are living in a time and season, when the rod of iron is bringing judgment upon the nations, for the freedom of mankind. There is a revolution going on in Nigeria, and as the Church we cannot take the back seat. This means that we must not allow the forces of darkness hijack what God has started. This means we must be more strategic in our teaching and making disciples. The focus of this conference is not the nation, but the Church, the called-out ones.

There is only one King, Christ. “I have set my king…” (Psalm 2:6), ‘set’ is Nasak (Hbr.) meaning to anoint the king, to install the king, to set upon the seat of his reign; and this is what the Lord is doing. The Lord Jesus is not only being anointed King, He is already King over the nations of the earth but what the Lord is particular about now is His Kingship over Zion. The Kingdom of God will infiltrate the earth when His government is in control over Zion.

‘Declare the decree’ (Psalm 2:6); ‘decree’ is choq (Hbr.) meaning to sign a legislated bill into law, the passage of heavenly constitutional bill into law. What the Lord is saying is that everything invisible and visible will be governed by this constitutional bill. And this is what the bill says, “Thou art my son, This day have I begotten thee”. This is the ultimate law that will drive the universe and cause the Kingdom of God to be triggered upon the earth.

The issue of sonship is not a matter of option, but a necessity in the realm of the spirit; a legislated bill signed into law in the spirit. Therefore, any local assembly that does not prioritize the teaching of sonship is running its own course. Although, the purpose of God is revealed in phases across the Church, there comes a time when there is a need for shift. The present emphasis of heaven must be sonship, that is, the Church being begotten. Christ was begotten of God, we also must be begotten and because of His attainment into the begotten estate, the Father gave Him the right to ask of Him the nations for His inheritance, and the ability to break them with the rod of iron. This tells us that governmental authority rests on sonship. Therefore, the issue of sonship cannot be handled lightly.

If a carnal minded believer is asked to ask the Lord for anything, he might ask for an expensive care or phone, because his mind is on the mundane but the sonship Church will ask for the nations, because they can see into God’s eye view.

‘Ask’ means shaal (Hbr.) meaning to enquire of the Lord about the exactness of His intent and plan. We must come to this realm, where we place demand on what God wants not what we want in our selfish minds. God seeks a generation who will desire and seek His agenda above theirs.

The issue of sonship is an issue of priority in the Kingdom. There’s no sonship without being begotten of God. Begotten means to be born again of the incorruptible seed (1 Peter 1:23), to be born of God (1 John 3:9).

‘Seed’ is sperma (Hbr.) meaning God’s DNA lies in that person. ‘Begotten’ is yalad (Hbr.) meaning to reproduce after one’s kind. The moment a man is reproduced after God’s kind, not just in his spirit, but also in his soul, the image of Christ is engraved in the soul. This is the transformative process of God’s work. When this work of internal configuration of the soul is accomplished, God can cause governmental authority to rest upon us. Governmental authority can only be entrusted to sons. Being begotten has to do with internal transformation of our souls with the aim of bringing men into God’s nature.

Zion is significant for being the seat of Christ’s reign (Psalm 2:8). This means that Zion is the centre of the Kingdom expression in the earth. Zion is all about the Kingdom. Any space occupied by the Kingdom of God is Zion. Space here does not refer to a geographical location; it includes the minds of men.

Isaiah 2:2-3 - And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD'S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.  And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

There is a difference between evangelistic engagement and apostolic invasion. Evangelistic engagement has to do with believers sharing the faith, the redemptive work of Christ to other men, and handed over to the Holy Spirit to convict them and respond to the gospel of Christ. We must do this constantly; the world needs to be comforted, reassured and is in need of hope now and often. Whereas, apostolic invasion has to do with God infiltrating the culture of men, knock down their kingdoms and seeing to it that the Kingdom of God is enthroned. This is what God seeks to accomplish in our day, as expressed in the verses that follow (Isaiah.2:3).

The agitation of righteousness will create an agitation in the hearts of men, a longing to walk in His path and do His will. Yet, it is the Zion Church that will bring about this longing. The emergence of the Zion church will not just be by awakening but by a building. God is building a tabernacle in a people. What happens as a result of this is that the mountain of the Lord’s house is exalted.

‘Building’ is Quun (Hbr.) meaning character formation, capacity building. ‘Exalt’ is Nasah (Hbr.), meaning to place a seal on something. God seals those that have become Christ; His seal rests upon the Divine nature. This is why the priority of the Kingdom is to build us up. It is the Church that has the seal of God that will trigger apostolic invasion in the nations of the earth. This will bring about a great harvest that has never been imagined. The Church is gravitating towards a great harvest already.

These are days of not frolicking with the world but gravitating towards righteousness. As this happens, God uses us as a standard of validation of righteousness in the earth. As we live, men will see our lifestyle and turn to God. God is raising witnesses, men who will be pointers to the Kingdom, and this will cause the idols of the earth to collapse.

The Kingdom is validated by God’s will. God is raising a Church that will relinquish their will for His will to be done in them. The first protocol of the will of God being done is that we must be passionate pursuers of God (Matthew 6:10). We must daily and constantly pursue passionately the knowledge of God. The earnest cry and desire of our souls should be for more of God. When this happens, truth will be revealed. Illumination/revelation is the response of heaven to the heart cry of men.

Psalm 119:130  - The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.

‘Light’ is or (Hbr.) meaning radiation of His face. ‘Understanding’ is biyn (Hbr.) meaning perception of His will. God gives light and understanding to the simple; simple tells the condition of the heart. It means brokenness, a heart emptied of self, a meek spirit, one longing for more to understand His ways and intents. This condition of the heart makes way for doors to be open in the Spirit. The word will gain entrance because there is a heart cry, a right heart attitude.

‘Entrance’ is Pethach (Hbr.) meaning the unfolding, unveiling, disclosure of the word. The word of God is ordinarily sealed, no one can understand it with human eye; it must be revealed before understanding can be received and it is the right heart attitude that unlocks the word. Hunger in the heart makes way for the truth to be unveiled, and this leads to the cultivation of the mind of Christ in the soul. Without the cultivation, we cannot understand the desires of heaven.

1 Corinthians 2:16 - But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

‘Instruct’ is sumbibazo (Gk.) meaning to be a joint associate with the one sitteth upon the throne, so that His intent can be shared with us. It is only when His intent is shared with us that we can know the mind of God. And it is only those who have come into the stature of Christ that can know the mind of God.

1 Corinthians 2:14 - But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

To handle the things of God we must deal with carnal tendencies still lurking within us. A natural man cannot access the things of God. A spiritual man is one who is advancing in his attainment in the spirit. Those who have the mind of Christ can consult with Him (1 Corinthians 2:16). God is raising a generation that can consult with Him; that can hold fast to the divine intent of God and partner with Him.

The Kingdom of God is followed by Divine endorsement. This means that the interest of God is to raise people who epitomize the Kingdom. God wants us to be that people. God is raising witnesses upon whom Divine government and His fullness will ultimately rest and be revealed. He desires that we bear His testimony.

Those who bear the testimony of Christ are His witnesses. The testimony of Jesus reproduces witnesses on the earth. Witnesses are those whose lifestyle point to the Kingdom, and the truth. They are people on whom death has lost its claim. They are no longer susceptible to the control of the flesh. Their lives are harnessed by the prototype of heaven. The prototype of heaven is the will of God.

Jesus never desired sacrifices of heaven, His heart cry is to do the will of God (Hebrews 10:7-9). ‘Will’ is manuscript written before the world began. There are manuscripts initiated before the world began and will be fulfilled in the earth. These manuscripts will be opened out by those in whom the will of God is ingrained. God is raising witnesses, men with no other life to live other than the purpose and will of God to be seen upon the earth. May we become His witnesses.

We will never prevail against our ultimate enemy when we sidetrack the cross (Revelation 12:11). The cross is our ultimate weapon against the enemy. We need the word of God to overcome. The word of God is to engrave the testimony of Jesus upon our hearts. The word of God is meant to completely alter the configuration of our soul, change the way we think, completely alter the principles that govern our existence, completely change our behavioral pattern. Those who come to this estate did not love their lives unto the death, that is; they died daily.

2 Timothy 1:8 - Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;

Shame goes hand in hand with the Kingdom. When you are touching the Kingdom, carnal men will ridicule you, you would not suit their style. When you begin to attract the praise of man, watch yourself, take caution. You will be ridiculed by the world, even in an assembly that is not comfortable with the standard of Christ. We must not suffer because of our stupidity or controversy.

The standard of Christ for humanity must be the principle upon which we take our decisions. The testimony of the Lord makes us His prisoner. Paul was in prison, not because of any wrongdoing, but because he preached the gospel. He broke the law of man, and they used that law to hold him captive but the sovereignty of God took over, and while in prison he wrote two-third of the New Testament.

‘Prisoner’ is desmios (Gk.) meaning one in captivity to the will of God. This is the estate the word of God brings the soul into, engraving God’s will upon it. May our lives become an embodiment of His will; this is what He desires.

The ultimate agenda of heaven is that the Kingdom of God be revealed in the earth, through His Church; this is what will give Him the greatest pleasure. The Kingdom is only entrusted to sons and we must now focus on the making of sons. Sons are those who daily pledge their humanity for the Lord in exchange for His divine nature (Eternal Life). They are those in whom the Spirit of God is mightily at work on a daily basis. They are people whose whole essence of their transaction with God is to engage His dealing to break the hold of self in their lives. The governmental authority of the Kingdom is only entrusted to a people who will not sabotage it. He gives it to those who are dying to self-daily, not self-centered people.

Hebrews 5:6-10 - As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.  Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;  Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;  And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;  Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec.

Melchizedek is king of righteousness. ‘Order’ is taxis (Gk.) meaning frequencies. This is referring to different frequencies of priesthood. The frequency of priesthood that will see the Kingdom on the earth is the Melchizedek Priesthood. Christ Jesus is the pattern-Son, our High Priest; therefore, we must identify His footsteps and follow them.

Jesus’ prayer and communion with God was to create a cry in His heart towards being delivered from death and saved from corruption (Hebrews 5:7). And this must be our cry and focus also. In this priesthood, prayer offered to God is that corruption be reversed, and that our souls are saved, death losing its grip, and the fear of the Lord culturing our hearts.

Jesus attained sonship by learning obedience through suffering (Hebrews 5:8-9). Sonship is attained by Divine process, obeying the will of God. Obedience is not learned by information, but by cultivation, becoming accustomed to doing. The revelation being delivered to us is used by the Holy Spirit as a means to change us on the inside and this leads us to obtain eternal salvation; which is for those who are mature in the spirit.

The making of the Son is a function of a divine process. One significant collateral damage that was done as a result of the fall of man is that the soul of man is presently compromised, by the carnal nature. The implication of this is that the law at work in the members is the law of sin and death but there is victory because of the redemptive work of Christ, the work of the cross. Hence it is said, ‘they overcame by the blood of the Lamb’ (Revelation 12:11).

Through the cross our spirit, soul and body has been ransomed from death and sin; we have been purchased and are no longer captives of the enemy but then, we have to experientially conquer sin by learning to activate daily the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus. Although through the victory of the cross we have been delivered legally, but we must then come into the experiential reality of this victory. As we apply the law of the Spirit of life, the reign of flesh over our lives will be eliminated.

Being begotten means to reproduce after one’s kind. God is already reproduced in our spirits, but that must take place in our souls. Being begotten is Gennao (Gk.) meaning regeneration. Regeneration is the outcome of the divine process whereby the carnal nature gives way for the divine nature. This means that regeneration is not an instantaneous spiritual experience, but an ongoing one; an ongoing transformative process of the Holy Spirit.

In the light of this, we need a secondary illumination, the word of God revealed to us in Christ Jesus. We must allow the word of God create faith in our hearts and shape the governing principles in our lives. When the word of God becomes our culture, then we have received secondary illumination.

Romans 10:17 - So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

The first hearing produces faith, the second produces patience and divine virtue (James 1:3). We must crave for the secondary illumination, this brings us to being rooted and grounded in the faith. In addition, we must be led by the Spirit. This means, the Holy Spirit must be involved in our daily actions. We must learn to relinquish our will for His. Lastly, we must learn to endure the trials of faith. God is raising people He will showcase and through them bring liberation to humanity.

Romans 8:18-19 - For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

The sons of God are those who have developed capacity to share in His glory. God’s glory is different from His deity, His weightiness. God does not share His deity. To share in His glory we must develop capacity. To develop capacity, we must die to self; tried and tested.

‘Suffering’ is pathema (Gk.) meaning buffeting. The essence of suffering is to build in us capacity to measure up to the image of Christ so that He can then release His glory to rest upon us.
