The Works of the Incorruptible Seed

Pastor Tosin Gabriel

Interpretation of Tongues 1

Thank You Lord for Your presence in this place. “I want to hide you, I want you hidden; I want you to be hidden, I want to hide you, I want to further hide you. I want to launch you further into deeper places within Me. I want to bring you into My hiding place, away from eyes that corrupt, far away from the eyes that destroy."

"For you see, this is how I will destroy the holds of spirits, this is how I will destroy the holds of kings, this is how I will destroy the holds of things that be. I want to hide you, I want to hide you from the reach of spirits, I want to hide you from the reach of that which is prevalent, I want to hide you from that which is corruptible, from that which corrupts."

"I want you to be hidden; therefore that manner of word I will bring to you will cause you to be further hidden, for you see I will hide My words within you and the words that I hide within you will cause you to be hidden from the eyes of spirits, from the eyes of princes, from the eyes of kings, even kings that have corrupted My nation, even My people", saith the Spirit of the Lord.

Message Begins

The coming of the Lord is for the giving of Eternal Life to those who in patient continuance and in well doing seek for glory, honor and incorruption (Rom. 2:7-8). That coming is the giving of eternity. Eternity is the reward; the issue now is what kind of eternity will we get?; it is based on our kind of works. Eternity is the appointed end of every man; but the end that will call for "the end" is salvation. Every man’s work finishes on the basis of salvation. Perdition is the end of work for those who disobey the truth; but salvation is the end of work for those who obey the truth. Every man will get the reward for everything he has done.

Romans 2:6

Who will render to every man according to his deeds:

Deeds finish at either salvation or perdition. Nobody will be neutral; if a man is neutral, he cannot receive a reward. Every man must work. A man racing unto perdition, does not need to be deliberate to work; what he is doing is already his norm, all he needs to do is to keep living his normal life.

Matthew 7:13-14 (HCSB)

"Enter through the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the road is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who go through it.  How narrow is the gate and difficult the road that leads to life, and few find it.

The broad gate is not difficult; but this narrow gate is difficult. Christ is meant to hijack us from destruction. To find what we are finding now (this path) is a lot of warfare. Much warfare has been accomplished over us. It takes warfare for men to see, because every man was born with a veil. Once a child is born, (as innocent as he looks at birth), he grows up being corruptible, and that is as a result of the things around him. Children from the womb are spirit; they can hear in the womb, how much more when they grow up? They are not too young to be taught the truth, but instead of acknowledging this, many train their children in the hands of Babylon.

The Jews first of all train their children with the torah; this is the principle the Muslims knew that they copied. It seems like the western world has reduced the weight of Chrisianity (Matt. 5:20).

Many are in that broad way because they have been born into it; and the system man was born into was to advance it. Every man’s life has been planned according to this world, and so when anyone does not follow that plan, they are seen as failures. It is a wisdom, and it looks beneficial, but behind the scene iis a wisdom that will make men self-sufficient. To be self-seeking is to be self-sufficient.

Thank God things are not working well in Nigeria; if things are working as people wish, the work of the Holy Ghost will not prosper as it is in Nigeria. In Nigeria, we pray to get cars; and when we get them, we go to church to give thanks to God. God enjoys all that because He is not out of the system. God has made us weak so that we can find the path of life.

It is not that things will not work in Nigeria, but God wants it so for now until everlasting life has a significant root in Nigeria, so that when things work well, we will not depart from Him.

Interpretation of Tongues 2

“It is My wisdom; hidden from the eyes of men is My way of doing things, it is hidden from the eyes of men. For you see, it is My wisdom, it is My way of making men to cry out for salvation, to make man to cry out for the true God, to make men cry out unto God, to cry out for God."

"For you see, I did it in Egypt, until the groaning of My people ascended up to Me. It is my wisdom of keeping men upon their toes. For you see it is for this cause that My work has prospered to this extent in your nation, it is for this cause that I have preserved My work. It is a way of preserving My work, it is a way of preserving My wisdom, it is a way of preserving even My purpose to the next generation, to the generation of them that will come, even them that have now come."

"I brought the church to this end in Nigeria by this wisdom, by this way, by this manner of dealing, that people may rise up, that a people may rise up who will not define goodness by what the world calls goodness, who will not define life by what the world calls life, who will not define prosperity by what the world calls prosperity."

"For you see they would have seen goodness of the Lord, they would have seen that which is true riches, they would have seen what I call prosperity and by so they will put the prosperity of this world where it belong, even under their feet because they will not see it as that which they are made for; but that which was a pathway for that which they are made for. They will not see it as a god, they will see it as that thing, for it is a thing, I will make them see it that way.”

Message Continues

It is God’s wisdom that things are not working; God let it so. Let us therefore not concentrate on wanting physical infrastructural development; let us rather want the spread of the Gospel.

Those finding the way of life in Nigeria are more than those finding it in other countries. Many countries abroad were strong in pursuing God; but when infrastructural development came, they threw away the gospel. Many churches in those countries have become mosques. You can do the same if not for the state of the country. It is a wisdom of God so that when everlasting gospel emerges many can come to it and many will come into it. The way of life is narrow and difficult. In Nigeria, things are narrow and difficult; that is why the harvest of the everlasting gospel will be very mighty. Men in the broad way do not need to be deliberate about doing anything; all they need to do is continue in that way. If they are uninterrupted, it is sure that they will end in destruction. This is why when many of us came to this life, things in the natural ceased/ slowed down; God was hijacking us from the path of destruction because He knew that if we were left there, we would never respond.

Every man’s work will end somewhere, either in salvation or in perdition. Every man will have a reward; even those whose works could not abide when tried will have a reward, but their reward will be salvation (1 Cor. 3:15); to be saved is a lot of blessing. Some will not be saved, they will go to lake and that is where they will be eternally. The coming meets us well when we are in the state of ‘abiding’.

1 Corinthians 3:10-11

According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.  For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

The foundation is Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 3:12-13

Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;  Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

That day is the day of His coming, and it will declare the quality of every man’s work with fire which is the light of His face.

Revelation 20:11

And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

The content of that face is fire which will test the quality of every man’s work.

1 Corinthians 3:13

Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

We are not the ones to determine the quality of our works; fire will test it.

1 Corinthians 3:14-15

If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

For a man’s work to be burnt means that his work did not abide. We must know what we need to do to make our works abide in the realm we are in now. There is a prescribed work to make us abide; to do works that will abide, we need understanding. It is the works of the incorruptible seed that can abide; any other work that does not take its root from the incorruptible seed will be burnt.

1 Corinthians 13:3

And though I bestow all my goods to feed [the poor], and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

To give all our goods to feed the poor is a lot; this was what Jesus asked the rich young ruler to do (Matt. 19:21). These are works that men can appreciate if they do not have judgment; but we can do these things and not have charity. The focus is not in the things we do; it is in our person. The works is the state of our soul. To give our brethren money for transport is good, but where is it coming from? 1 Cor. 3:14 is not just for ministers, because even ministers can become castaways while those they minister to abide (1 Cor. 9:27). What God is looking for now is the quality of your person.

When your soul appears before God, He will look at the work you have done. Your constitution is what He will try. Everyone who is looking for Eternal Life should look for how to do works that will abide, because if our works do not abide, we will not have Eternal Life. Eternal life is the reward for abiding works.

1 Corinthians 3:15

If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

We should therefore know how our works will abide, because we are looking for Eternal Life. If you are not looking for Eternal Life, you can live your normal life and do the norms, so that at your old age, you say ‘I am fulfilled’; but the end will tell. Let us do works that will abide; and we need to know how to do such kind of works, because a man can do his best and still not have his works abide. Yet, God is not a God of partiality.

1 Peter 1:14-17

As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:  But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;  Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.  And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning [here] in fear:

God will not show partiality; He will not reward a man because he is nice. What will judge every man’s work is His face; and the face does not show partiality. If a man’s work does not abide, there is nothing He can do about it. In the day of the Lord, the shakings are not the fire, they are only the things that come before the fire (Heb. 12:26-27). Those shakings are to make us see how far our work is in the state of our soul. For instance, if there is a tsunami and a man’s house is taken away, his reaction to it shows whether his work is abiding or not. If a man has bitterness after he loses his job (a shaking), it shows that he does not yet have abiding works. All the shakings is to make a man tighten the loose ends before the face comes. Some people do not know that some things they pass through is mercy.

Why believers go through challenges is to test the quality of their work. You cannot do everlasting life and not go through diverse trials; although, God will spare your life and your health.

Do not focus on being the best in this world. God can make you get to where you do not expect, in His wisdom. but it is good for a man to bear his yoke in the days of his youth.

Lamentations 3:27

[It is] good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth.

This message is not for adults alone.

Lamentations 3:28-31

He sitteth alone and keepeth silence, because he hath borne it upon him. He putteth his mouth in the dust; if so be there may be hope. He giveth his cheek to him that smiteth him: he is filled full with reproach. For the Lord will not cast off for ever:

This man is bearing something from his youth. This reproach is a reproach of building a nature. Therefore, we should not expect a rosy life; God will use everything to build us: with marriage and even location to settle down. Jesus never promised His disciples a rosy life.

Acts 14:22

Confirming the souls of the disciples, [and] exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

Paul had to make the saints know that they have been ordained for tribulations.

1 Thessalonians 3:3-4

That no man should be moved by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto. For verily, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and ye know.

1 Peter 4:12-13

Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:  But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

1 Peter 3:14-15

But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy [are ye]: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;  But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and [be] ready always to [give] an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

1 Peter 3:18

For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

1 Peter 4:1

Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;

This present world is sin; we have no choice than to disengage from it. You must learn to bear the yoke from your youth; it is not for married men alone.

Suffering does not always mean we will not have money; but sometimes, it includes it. It is part of our building because some of us have ego; a wanting of self-sufficiency. Do not be proud; it is for that reason that God can subject you to lack.

Suffering includes when people criticize you and speak ill of you; but there is also going to be an internal part of suffering, like when you marry somebody you do not like. ‘Chemistry’ is only because of your internal formation; if you are a Christ man/woman, you can have chemistry with any woman/ man the Lord wants.

This is the application of all we have been learning (from the Appearing), and you cannot escape the application if you want eternal life. God will squeeze and pressurize you, but it is to squeeze sin and death from your frame.

Matthew 7:14

Because strait [is] the gate, and narrow [is] the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

We are exalting eternal life, but Jesus’ ordination is that we enter the Kingdom through much tribulation. Peter and the disciples left everything for the Kingdom (Mark 10:28); what have you left?

There will be leadings of the Spirit in these things; the sufferings are leadings of the Spirit

Acts 14:22

Confirming the souls of the disciples, [and] exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

John 3:5

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and [of] the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Being born of water and the Spirit is with much tribulation. It is the leading of the Spirit that makes us to be born of the Spirit. This leading is a suffering because it is against our own way and our own plan. We cannot have our own plans when we are following the leading of the Spirit. When we have our goals, the Holy Ghost will lead us against it because His ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts (Isa. 55:8).

We must go through things to have eternal life; God must see our souls and see the things we have laid down just to please HIm.

John 21:18

Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry [thee] whither thou wouldest not.

The 'another' in this scripture is the Holy Spirit. As children, we can plan our next five years and it works; but when we are old, God does not allow us to have our way. Every son asks ‘Lord, what is Your will?” (Matt 26:39, 6:10). We are the ones to do His will.

Colossians 1:9-10

For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

This is a prayer for the mature.

If we say we are young, we will bear the yoke of the Lord for the cause of everlasting life and eternal life; we cannot escape it.There is a level of discipleship that our parents had that made them go through difficulties. That is why women stayed in unpalatable marriages, at least, because of their children; but today, even when the children are there, they opt for divorce. This means that the building is no longer there.

Westernization has weakened mankind, that there is now a gospel for westernization; which is convenience. We will suffer by leading. We will not always have what we want; any spirit that fosters this is not the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost will always hedge us and check us. He will always alter the list of how to spend our money; unless we have judgment on how to spend that money, and we will discover that seventy percent of that money is not for us.

It is good to know when we miss alignment with the Lord and then repent; but we should come to the point where we do not miss it; where all our decisions are exactly what He is saying.

1 Peter 1:6-9

Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:  That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:  Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see [him] not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:  Receiving the end of your faith, [even] the salvation of [your] souls.

Verse 9 of the above scripture can be read this way: ‘‘Receiving the end of your faith that is being tried…’’. Works that will abide can never be achieved on convenience. We cannot do abiding works without inconvenience. If we will enter the kingdom through much tribulations, how about inheriting the Kingdom?

To do abiding works, is to deal with the works of the incorruptible seed. Nobody can do abiding works outside the incorruptible seed. No one can receive eternal life outside the works that the incorruptible seed initiated. The incorruptible seed gives us the advantage of receiving Eternal Life.  What are the works of the incorruptible seed?

1 Corinthians 3:14

If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

We cannot do anything to make our works abide without the incorruptible seed; it is that seed that will give us the quality of work that will make us abide.

1 Peter 1:23

Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

What can make works to abide is the incorruptible seed. To be incorruptible is that a thing cannot perish; therefore, for our works not to perish, we need the help of the incorruptible seed.

1 Corinthians 3:12

Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;

No man has this foundation at new birth; it is after new birth that we need the foundation to be laid. The foundation is Christ, and so to lay the foundation is to lay faith, hope and charity. Foundation is faith, hope and charity. This means that not every believer has this foundation, but every believer must have this foundation laid in himself. However, it is possible for the foundation to be destroyed.

Psalm 11:3

If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

What made the man in the above verse righteous is the foundation laid; but if that foundation is destroyed, what can he do? Paul was grieved when he saw the work in the Galatians being ruined. He had to start all over again (Gal. 4:19). Laying foundation is a work of travail. When this foundation is laid, it is what makes the righteous ‘do’. To do means that the righteous begin to build on that foundation.

If you have just been added to this house, it is good to hear what we are teaching now, but get the past messages (where Christ has been taught) also and listen to them alongside. If you do not do this, you may want to build without a foundation, and the incorruptible seed will not drop when there is no foundation.

No one can do charity if he has not done hope, or even faith. It is Christ that will teach us that we do not have any hope in the seven mountains; no man can mix messages together and want to be stable. Such a man can never be rooted. Christ is not a slang, it’s a life, and we will be tested based on that. When such a man is tested, he will discover that he is very light. Satan knows when a man is light; and spirits do not bother over shafts (light souls, tossed here and there by every wind of doctrine).

Laying foundation is faith, hope and charity. What can bring abiding works is the incorruptible seed. It is good to hope for eternal life, but first of all, hope for the incorruptible seed. The hope of every Christ is not Eternal Life but the incorruptible seed because that is what will make his works abide.

Our quest should be ‘how do I do abiding works?’ and we cannot even build without a foundation. Christ is a stone; but it is in that stone that gold, silver, or precious stones can be built, or a man can build wood, hay and stubble. A man can be Christ (righteous) and build wood, hay and stubble.

The parable of the sower (Luke 8:5-15) is concerning Christs; a Christ can receive the incorruptible seed and not understand it. He can have a rocky heart, and what made it rocky is some circumstances he has gone through.

The first and last works of husbands can be in their wives and children. For the wives, it can be commandments on how to relate with their husbands. Your precious stone is in commandments you have been given that you have not yet finished. There is a time where what we will submit is of precious stones, of silver or of gold. "Sarah called her husband lord" (1 Pet. 3:6). Abraham’s first and last work also was his environment; Ishmael (first work) and Isaac (last work). These things we are saying are leadings that come to us daily; how you handle your brethren can be part of your first and last work.

We are all still growing into all these commandments; they are strong meat. God will not go out of the blues to deal with you; He will use your atmosphere/ environment. The first and last work will be amongst us here; when you enter the first work, you will know. When any of us enters the abiding work, we will know that this person is different: he is a love being.

These things are commandments that only a Christ can do.

1 Peter 1:22

Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, [see that ye] love one another with a pure heart fervently:

The unfeigned love of the brethren is laying the foundation called Christ.

1 Peter 1:23

Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

"Being born again" from this scripture is not the birth we had at new birth; this birth came to us through the incorruptible seed. This seed will not come until we have the foundation called Christ. The seed knows where it can come to, because it is through it that we build (1 Cor 3:14).

The seed is the cornerstone; if anyone builds without this corner stone, he is building hay, wood and stubble. It is the seed that can give us the material to build something that cannot be corrupted. We can be patient and still not do it according to the seed. What the seed is after is to change our person; that is why a man can be doing things and still not have his person being changed - that is still hay, wood and stubble.

1 Peter 1:23

Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

Nobody can get eternal life without the work of the incorruptible seed. The incorruptible seed is the work of salvation. The salvation of the soul is therefore a proceed of the incorruptible seed; if a man does not have the incorruptible seed, he cannot be saved.

James 1:21

Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

This meekness is Christ; that is the foundation that Christ has given your soul. A meek soul is a charity soul. We are to receive the engrafted word which is able to save our souls, and that is the incorruptible seed. The word is what brings the incorruptible seed. Thus, there is no salvation outside of the incorruptible seed.

Faith, hope and charity is not a language; it is a knowledge; it is an understanding. What is Christ? It is not what makes us have money and prosper in this present life. Just as how people have mistaken Christ, they can mistake the incorruptible seed.  There are two works in the incorruptible seed: to live and to abide. We cannot have abiding works without having living works. Living is the first work, abiding is the last work; and our works must abide before we get eternal life. It is possible for a man to live and not abide, to start and not finish; that is why it is not living that makes a man get Eternal Life, it takes abiding. To live is a kind of work; to abide is another kind of work. To live is the first love; to abide is the last love.

It takes the last love to abide; which is the last work.We cannot get to the first or last love if we have not arrived at the love of the brethren. We need to do well in the love of the brethren; that is what will make the incorruptible seed to prosper. It is possible to have incorruptible seed and not do the work of the incorruptible seed if love of the brethren is not strong in our lives.

1 Peter 1:22

Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, [see that ye] love one another with a pure heart fervently:

The environment for these works to prosper is fervent love of the brethren. If God gives you the seed, He knows that you need fervent love of the brethren to sustain the seed. The last love is the peak of all love; in that love, you do not exist anymore. Nobody wants to cease from existing. The husband always wants to be the head of the house; every pastor wants to be the one seeing; but the incorruptible seed makes us not want any of that but to live.

The best way to prosper in the two love works is to do fervent charity. Our commandment now is beyond loving all men; we are to have charity and fervent love of the brethren.

Prayer:

Lord, we ask that You grant us grace to have charity and fervent charity amidst the brethren for the incorruptible seed to prosper in us.
