The Ideal Man in the Heart of God (Pt. 2)
Pastor Tosin Gabriel
It is the ideal man that can do everlasting life; it is not as easy as we think. Adam did not finish the curriculum of Everlasting Life; he was the first man, he did not know sin, nor was he born in iniquity, yet he didn't finish.
God is not making a mistake by preaching and revealing Christ first. God could have started from where Adam fell; he started everlasting life but did not finish it; he was a living soul. God must have weighed Adam to see that there is a facility that can do Everlasting Life properly that was not there, which is Christ.
The ideal man that can do Everlasting life properly is Christ. Christ is the man that God is looking for. It is only Christ that can look for God, which is not in praying to God to meet our needs; when we pray to God to meet our needs, we are not looking for Him rather we are using Him for an advantage.
Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Comers to God are looking for God. It is not every man that is looking for God. Some just want God to meet their needs and then they forget God. For some, it can be that they are looking for children from God and after receiving such, they forget God.
To look for God is not as easy as we think. God will not encounter anyone that He has not found. God does not cast His pearls to swine; they are everlasting things.
Matthew 7:6
Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
We are all swines and dogs by natural birth.
2 Peter 2:22
But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.
This means that they were dogs and swines before, but they were washed through the holy commandments given to them and escaped pollution; yet, they went back to being swines and dogs. God cannot commit Himself to swines and dogs; because they know what they are looking for; they are Gentile souls.
Ephesians 4:17
This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,
The man God is looking for is Christ. Christ is the ideal man of God; He is the man approved of God.
2 Timothy 2:15
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
'Study' in the above scripture is to be diligent.
2 Timothy 3:17
That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
‘Perfect’ is matured Christ. We need power to do Everlasting Life. It is only the ideal man that is powerful enough to do Everlasting Life. Everlasting Life is a power adventure; the demand of this life requires power. It takes power and stature to do Everlasting life. We will not do well if we are not powerful; it is Christ that has the power to do Everlasting Life.
Romans 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
It takes power to do salvation. The approved power to do salvation is Christ. The preaching of the gospel of Christ is to make us powerful for Salvation - Everlasting life. What is making men not to look for God is power; it takes power to look for God.
It takes power to respond to the commandment of Everlasting life. Everlasting life is a life embedded in commandments. Doing Everlasting Life is doing the commandments which is what makes us live the life. Being saved is not a day’s work; it is a progressive work that goes on in us as we respond to the commandments of Everlasting Life. Our salvation is tied to doing.
Philippians 2:12
Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
Salvation has been deposited but we need to work it out. The more work we do, the more saved we become. We are being saved until we are fully saved. Salvation is a progressive work that climaxes when all the works are fully done. It will never happen anytime that someone who doesn't do the works of salvation will be told that he is saved.
Matthew 24:13
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
The powerful man that can do salvation is Christ. We need the power of God; there are powers but there is the power of God (Romans 1:16). There are powers to heal the sick, to perform miracles, powers that can move mountains, but there is ‘the power’.
The men in the Bible used a power to heal the sick but did not know the power (Matthew 7:22). This is why it will be impossible to do Everlasting Life. Commandments of Everlasting Life are not as easy as we think. We need to be reinforced; reinforcing Christ more is to do Everlasting life. Failure is inevitable if there is no power to do the commandments, and without obeying commandments, there will be no Everlasting Life.
John 12:50
And I know that His commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.
Life Everlasting is the Lord’s commandment. The commandment of Everlasting Life is ‘being made conformable unto His death’.
Philippians 3:10
That I may know him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death;
It takes power to die. We have to be conformable to His death before we can truly die. It is only Christ that has power to die this death. Martyrs' death is a good death but not a perfect death of God's prescription and order.
To do commandments of Everlasting Life demands a level of grace which is Christ - the power of God unto Salvation. Grace is power. The power of God is a building.
Acts 20:32
And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.
To be powerful is to be a building which is the foundation of God (Christ). It is the power that can carry the building.
Galatians 4:19
My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,
This means that building blocks will have to be made and then be cemented up. Cement makes the blocks firm together. The teaching of Christ is the installation of building blocks and also cementing it.
Colossians 3:10
And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
Thummim is a death of final departure from corruption. Jesus Christ died this death.
Hebrews 7:26
For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens
These are commodities of Everlasting Life. This means that Jesus and sinners can never meet. Every Christ wants to come to a state where he is completely separated from corruption and this is what we call Salvation.
Colossians 3:10-14
And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of Him that created him: Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. And above all these things, put on Charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
These are building blocks of Christ. Charity is the cement which is the bond of the building blocks. Charity is what makes Christ to hold.
1 Timothy 1:5
Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:
2 Peter 1:5-8
And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
These are building blocks; Charity is the last curriculum here. When we are responding to faith, we will have certain virtues and so it is when we are responding to hope but the end and the cement of the building block is Charity. The cement of Christ is Charity. You are not yet powerful if you are not a charity being.
What prevents the building blocks from falling is charity. Failure in charity is a communication that we are not yet powerful. Everlasting Life works are superior to charity. It is charity that makes us powerful to be able to attend to Everlasting life works.
1 Corinthians 13:4
Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up
These are qualities of a powerful person that can do well to a degree in Everlasting Life.
To check our foundation is to reinforce our foundation.
Charity is courteous.
1 Peter 3:8
Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous
1 Peter 1:22
Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:
‘God is love’ is the hope of a high Charity. It is what a Charity man will look for. It is love that looks for Love. Love is the last thing in the heart of people. To say we are the Lord’s is to say that we have the sign of charity. It is love that can look for Love and get Him. Our ultimate search in the kingdom is Love. He who carries the trophy is a Love being. It takes a degree of love to look for this Love. It is not a good sign if we are still deficient in Charity. Everlasting Life teaching is to teach us how to reinforce our foundation in Christ. God will only expect Everlasting Life works from us when we are Charity beings; believers with the signature of Charity. Lacking this signature will lead to rejection by the builder. The builder has prescribed a foundation called Charity. For Love to dwell in a house, the foundation must be love. We all must thrive in Charity.
1 Corinthians 14:1
Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.
We must pursue Charity. Charity is the love of the brethren. It can be expressed in love for your neighbour but it must be seen in the love of the brethren.
1 Peter 1:22
Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:
The Holy Ghost’s signature that graduates us to God is Charity. If anyone does not have this signature, such a person cannot be of God.
Romans 8:9
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His.
1 Peter 1:23
Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever.
It is a man that has the signature of Charity that can be given the incorruptible seed as a gift and if the incorruptible seed can be kept, the soul will be saved.
James 1:21
Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
Charity is the first seal of the Lord but this charity is not enough for the incorruptible seed to thrive. The environment for the incorruptible seed to thrive is fervent Charity. The requirement to get the incorruptible seed is Charity.
Fervent charity is fervent love of the brethren. Love of the brethren is the cement of every building block.
God is in two levels: the foundation first, then the building. The building is living, which is Everlasting Life. The capstone of the building is Eternal God that rests upon it. If our building is not living when Eternal God rests, it will be destroyed. This is why God is not in an hurry to enter any habitation.
We must not only pursue the love of the brethren but also make it fervent. We must be passionate about Charity and move further to fervent Charity. The demand of the incorruptible seed is that we work out our salvation. The works of the incorruptible seed are two: first work and last work. First work is first love; last work is last love. There is a love higher than Charity. God that is love is higher than the first love and the last love. God is the ultimate love; He is the crown of all love.
First love is not fervent Charity and last love is neither Charity nor fervent Charity; it takes a man who has done Charity well to enter the first love. The house of God is love. Love will only dwell inside love. This love must have foundation and must have building before Love Himself can come and dwell in. First Love is Father’s love
1 John 2:15
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
Loving the brethren fervently will propel us to the love of the Father that disciplines and scourges us.
Hebrews 12:12-13
Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees; And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.
Hebrews 12:6
For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom He receiveth.
Father’s love will discipline us for our own profit. God’s discipline is a training of love. When we have done the first love well, we will be moved to the last love which is the love of God. Father's love has commandment; every love has its own commandments. So also when we are doing love of God which is the last love, there is also commandment. The love of God is where we will be.
Jude 1:21
Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
1 John 2:15
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
All the Father will be doing is to use dealings to remove the love of the world in us. The commandment inside love of the Father is 'love not the world nor the things that are in the world' but there is a higher commandment than this which is in the love of God. It is a journey of love all through. We must use our brethren to receive training in love because we are going to the Father’s love which is higher than love of the brethren.
Jude 1:21
Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
When we have responded to the Father's love, we will be pushed to the last love where we keep ourselves in the love of God.
Last work is what will propel Eternal life to come. Eternal Life is for those who are in the last love; Eternal Life is the Eternal love nature that makes us become gold in the city of God. The city of God is the Lamb’s wife. In this city, the cement is gold. There are precious stones here but what brings them together is gold, which is the love called God that we must become, if we are not gold, we cannot be the Lamb’s wife.
Our pursuit now should be Charity unto fervent Charity that will enable us to have capacity to do first love; the love of the Father. Higher light will make us see our darkness and propel us.
Prayer
Lord we receive grace to reinforce our foundation in Charity; we want to do well.
The Lord comes into the church like a thief in the night and will harvest those in Charity and fervent Charity unto the Father's love.
Prayer
Lord, in this season, we receive grace to excel in the love of the brethren and in fervent love of the brethren. Help our hearts to be cemented in love; love of the brethren and fervent charity
Pastor Precious Gabriel
The Lord will want many of us to wait on these words spoken. We must respond to these words spoken and follow up on them. We have come to a place and moment of decision. Let us not allow these words to come without a response. Let us identify things that have to go, watch and follow up on them. Let us be watchful and prayerful on these things.
Luke 6:48
He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.
Foundation is beyond the surface. The Lord demands obedience to these works spoken so we can stand.
